I'm sorry, but I'll be talking a lot about M.I.A. for a while
How is everybody not freaking out over how great Boyz is? It's a great song, has such amazing dancing in the video. The freshest thing all year. Saw it two months ago, but assumed we were waiting to freak out until the album came out. Well now it's leaked, so I'm officially freaking out. This song, video... everything is amazing.
Also: there is a YouTube thing going on where people are dancing like crazy to this song and making little videos. And they're all great.

recent Bjork situations. Live and Volta stuff

- Stereogum has a great review of Bjork's Coachella set
Björk hit the stage with a heart-patterned, scarf-slung headdress and a rainbow-Hawaiian-cavewoman getup, bouncing and wailing through "Earth Intruders."
- this YouTube user has videos of Bjork's SNL songs, and Coachella stuff
- iTunes UK accidentally had Volta available for a little while, two weeks early. but if you didn't catch that, there's Hype Machine , Isohunt, and waiting.

A Problem Like Stefani

It has a sample from The Sound of Music's Lonely Goatherd.
Do you remember how that goes?
It goes like this:
Gwen actually previewed this song during her 2005 Harajuku Lovers tour. It sounded a little different back then:
It seems like there's more brass now. Here's a new live performance.
If the Von Trapps were this "colorful," they never coulda escaped the Nazis.
(live performance on UK talk show Jonathan Ross, November 10, 2006).
Popworld performance. UK music show. Date of performance unknown, but sometime near November 10, 2006.
The Von Trapp family in full effect. Better dancing than Wind It Up.
a long, long way to run!
